This is a Sphinx Moth genus ligustri
This is a much better image than the one I attempted to get last evening. They are more difficult to capture than a hummingbird and often are taken for one because they have a long probe to get into the flowers. I've only seen them in the fall and sometimes it was almost too dark to see them as try to get the last of the summer nectar. If I hadn't had to run for my camera I would have gotten a better one; they are gone within seconds and usually don't come back again.
Don't strain your eyes but if you look under the red geranium and seemingly attached to the black pot, there it is, just barely.
